ah. :)

heyyyy... you went through the residency dance with NCSU. did you take any clases while you were waiting to have residency? i want to burn my histories and some other stuff at Durham or Wake Tech, but i'm mildly paranoid that it'll mess with my residency. no real reason to be, at than, at this point i'm paranoid that i'm never going to get this damn degree finished. :)

I did take a couple of classes at State before I was considered a resident, but I regret it because at the time I wasn't sure what I wanted to study, so the classes don't count for anything now, and the tuition was 3x as much. :/ I'm not sure what you mean by "burn my histories," do you mean taking them there while waiting for residency? I would think that would actually help you with residency, giving you more proof that you've been in NC for as long as you say you have. Unless you mean something entirely different. ;)

nope. i meant, take them at durham tech or something. out of state tuition at a community college there isn't much more than the in-state i'm paying here, and i might as well get things like history and econ out of the way.

i'm just kind of scared that they'll say "oh, you were in school this year, so, obviously, you moved back just for school, no residency for you" or something dumb.

Ohh, I see what you mean. ARE you coming back just for school? I mean, I was under the impression that you were looking for a job here. If you have a full-time taxable-income job for (at least most of) the year you're waiting you should be fine.

eh, yes and no. i didn't get into the University of Washington, and so it's certainly going to be easier to finish at State, since i don't have to worry about readmittance, just the major change, and since i won't be transferring as much stuff as I would be to a school out here. but i'm mostly moving back because of friends and family and general homesickness and stuff. if i didn't want to be in NC, i'd just reapply to the UW or apply to Western Washington.

if i could go straight back into school at State, i would, but since i've got to establish residency first, i'll get a full time job and get settled and stuff.
