You get your license plates from private businesses and liquor from government-owned liquor stores in Washington. It is so weird.

*sigh* Me, too. You can't even buy beer or wine in the grocery store here! How did I end up in a state with more strict liquor laws than Utah?!

They do that in the Midwest, too. So I guess it must be the Northwest that is the oddball in that regard.
