Baby's first road trip

So, someone that Jeff is friends with on Twitter is having a book signing today up in Asheville, and Jeff wanted to come. Asheville is a really cool place, so we decided to make a weekend of it.

Yesterday we went into town and I taught my class and we ran a couple of errands and got some Chick-fil-a for lunch, and then we hopped on 40. One stop and a touch over 2.5 hours later, we were at the Asheville East KOA.

We got the tent pitched and bedding set up and heated some dinner (canned soup and sausages) and wandered around a bit, stopping at the office to Internet (there's free wifi, but it doesn't quite reach our site). We were back in the tent asleep by 8:30, amusingly enough.

(no, we're not the only crazy people tenting this weekend. Yes, it was cold last night. However, we had electric blankets and lots of other blankets and so were pretty warm.)

This morning, we've cooked some breakfast and now I'm up at the office interneting while Jeff showers, and then we'll head to town.
