So, Amazon has this useful feature: "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought..." It's terribly handy for getting book recommendations. There's just one small flaw with it. Say that one is looking up Mrs. Pollifax Unveiled, part of a lovely little series about Mrs. Pollifax, a lovely widow who walks into the CIA, asks for a job as a spy, and gets one.1 They're part travel book, part gentle mystery, and they're very good, and I'd love to find more books like them. However, it's a fairly specialized niche, and so, what have customers also bought who bought Mrs. Pollifax Unveiled?

Mrs. Pollifax and the Lion Killer
Mrs. Pollifax Pursued
Mrs. Pollifax and the Second Thief
Mrs. Pollifax and the Whirling Dervish

etc. You have to go 4 pages in to find something not by Dorothy Gilman. Whoops.

1. It sounds like a hokey premise, and it is, but it works. You want to read them. They're good and short and tasty. Start at the beginning - the books don't really depend on each other, but it's fun watching Mrs. P. develop as a person, and watching history develop - she starts off with combating the Evil Communist Threat - and the secondary characters will make more sense if you go in order.
