I've had a horrible, horrible diet coke habit for ages (as part of my greater caffiene habit.) Lately, I've been trying to cut down on my soda intake, in the name of injesting less noxious chemicals, so I've been averaging about one a week. I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night (I slept well once I got to sleep, I was just having a normal case of the Sunday-night-I'm-not-ready-for-the-weekend-to-be-overs) (where "not nearly enough" is a bit over six hours. I am such a wimp about sleep these days.) I finally gave up a bit ago, since I couldn't focus on anything, and headed over to the student center to get a soda. I ended up with a diet cherry coke, since diet vanilla coke seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird.

It tastes like crap. It tastes like every bit of the chemicals that it's made of. I can't believe how much of this stuff I used to drink in a day.

The worst part? I'm through half of it, and I'm still not waking up. Feh. :) I imagine I'll continue to drink the occasional soda, but I think my diet coke habit is toast.
