So, we were having teriyaki for dinner tonight, and I didn't want to defrost an entire 1 pound package of cube steak, and we had these gorgeous pork chops in the freezer, inch thick and over half a pound each and lovely, so I pulled out one and thawed it and let it marinate for 15 minutes or so while I got the rest of dinner together.

Damn. Best teriyaki ever. The pork was the perfect foil for it. We have another pork chop in the freezer, and it is going to be teriyaki sooooooon.

Also, I had a head of cabbage in the fridge that was dying to be slaw, and my body was begging for vegetables, so I mixed up thinly sliced cabbage, shredded carrots, and a bit of dried fruit. Dressing was more or less equal parts sesame oil, peanut oil, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar. It wants for crunch - cashews? - but is lovely.

It was really good. Good grassfed pork, too.
