Oh, wow. Take leftover dumplings from making ghoulash the other night, and fry them around for a couple minutes in a little bit of olive oil and some of the grease from cooking your breakfast sausage. Crusty and light and noms.

Goulash? Recipe? I bought some Hungarian semi-hot paprika yesterday at Penzey's and I neeeeeds to use it!

We use this recipe: http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/004187beef_goulash_with_dumplings.php and it's FANTASTIC. I leave out the onions because Jeff doesn't like them much, and tomato puree instead of paste because that's what we keep around, and it's still good. Very flexible recipe. It works with stew beef and cheap pork chops as well as roast.
