Faith came and picked me up this morning. We hit Starbucks on the way back to my parents', and thus arrived bearing treats, and settled in for a day of gaming. I soundly lost at Careers, don't remember how I did at the first round of Uno, and lost badly at Monopoly (which is typical. I probably spent days, by the time you add it up, of my childhood losing at Monopoly.) I also got introduced to One Tree Hill, which I had thought was a mild mannered sitcom about basketball, but it appears that I was mistaken. I'll be sticking to Star Trek. :)

Jeff got off of work early and came over. Faith beat our butts at more Uno. Mom made lasagne for dinner, and then we came home.

I'm done my wrapping, and Jeff is almost done. The no-kneed bread is on its second rise. I'm going to get the corn muffins in the oven and the green bean casserole assembled, and then the no-kneed bread into the oven, and I'll be done. I'd wanted to do a lot more cooking this year, to enable mom to do less of it, but she went ahead and did a ton anyhow, because it's mom. :) I ran out of steam this week, and Christmas snuck up on me. Next year will be a year of Larger Christmas Gathering of Doom, and I'll plan earlier and get more done. For this year, it's fine, it's enough, and we're having a perfectly lovely holiday as is. :)

The no-kneed bread

Not to pick nits, but I believe you mean "no-knead." Otherwise I'm quite curious about this bread that is lacking its knees.

*giggles* You are totally right. Whoops. I hate it when I do stuff like that.
