Dear geeks of my friends list:

Anyone know of a script/program/something that allows you to pull the metadata (tags, annotations, whatever) off of a flickr photo automagically?

When you say "pull the metadata off" do you mean "view it" or "remove it"? (I don't have an answer off the top of my head either way, alas.)

Copy it. [chair] wants to use Flickr as a platform for students to code pictures, and then wants to be able to pull that information off automagically and pull it into a DB/data analysis program/whatever.

Flickr has an API. Several languages have libraries for it already.
