I will never understand why a public library system would have part of a series but not all of it. Say, books 1, 2, and 4, of the Bryant and May mysteries, or the first but not the second Inspector Lynley mystery? Series must be read in order to make sense, most of the time. This is what makes them a series, and why people like me like to read them. Hrmph.
