It's 80 degrees here. Spring has sprung.

I went to the gym and did my running thing, then hung out at the library for awhile and got some work turned in on my independent study (wonders never cease, and I'm up to an anthropologist, which means I know what the heck he's saying, praise be) then went to a presentation on field research (and ate some free pizza, num), then went to that presentation for methods, then trudged home (because by that point I was tired, and wearing flip flops, and Boomer-the-laptop is heavy.)

Plans for the evening include reading, drinking kamikazees, making and eating pasta, and watching DS9. Weekend plans include getting the sewing machine set back up, revising the revised homework plan for the rest of the semester, knocking out a bunch of homework, and doing a hell of a lot of grading (and thus, a hell of a lot of cussing.)

I want to take an advanced ethnography and interviewing course. My school doesn't offer such a beast, as far as I can tell. I don't want to take one at Carolina, in case I by some miracle get into there for my phd, since I'll want to take it then. Maybe I can sort out an independent study next spring.

I got a lot of compliments on the hair today, which was nice. It was being too poofy for me today, but if everyone else likes it, then I'll refrain from taking the clippers to it... for a bit. :)

Life is good.
