redzils handed us an old laptop of hers that she hadn't been using since she upgraded last summer, apparently, and told us to use it as we will. (Thank you, dear.) Once we put a little more memory in it, it will be a significant upgrade from my current laptop. Mouse has been a faithful servant for the last 3.5 years, and is still a good little box, but is awfully pokey sometimes and doesn't like all the software I run on her (trying to run the PDF annotator and anything else is asking for it to creep along.) Jeff is running Windows Update on the new box and, once he pronounces it done, I can start moving things over. We'll put some flavor of Linux on Mouse and have a guest and test box.
