Friday we mostly spent moving around furniture. The dining table that was in the kitchen has been moved to a corner of the living room, where it can be easily pulled out when we have people over and want to eat at it, and on which I can craft and sew (when I get around to making friends with my sewing machine again; it hates me.) The big blue desk that was in the living room has been moved to the kitchen, where it is providing some much needed extra counter space; the appliances that stay out all the time have taken up residence on it (bread machine, coffee pot, crockpot, and silverware) and suddenly, I have counter space. The microwave is also a lot more accessible, and the end result is a kitchen that feels 800 times larger and more usable. I am pleased. I might even take pictures, after we finish cleaning up from the boxes and such that got moved around in the process.

Saturday was slothful. :) Our normal beef and cheese vendors weren't going to be at the market, so we decided on a (very) lazy Saturday morning. We read, napped, watched 3 episodes of Voyager, played video games, and read some more. It was a good day. :)

Today was mostly errand day. We'd run out of a lot of staples that we can't get at the farmer's market all at once - toliet paper and olive oil and maple syrup and vegetable oil and stuff like that - so we spent way too long in Earth Fare Deep Roots, doing things like discussing the relative merits of vegetable oil that was from "the United States, Mexico, or Chile" or oil that was of unknown provenance, and being annoyed that Earth Fare's house brand of pasta is imported from Italy. We detoured into Target to try to get a power strip for the newly arranged kitchen, discovered that all of their power strips that they had available were the same brand and made in China, and left again. Otherwise, there's been more Voyager, pasta for dinner, some DS9, more video games, more reading, and I finally did some homework, something that was a bit overdue this weekend.

It's been a good weekend. It looks like it's going to be a good week, too; we get a redzils mid-week, and I get to go see artisanal_xara on Friday.
