Oy. There's a reason why we're staying put in this house through my masters.
2. Which was your favorite and why and what street was it on?
I was rather fond of the second CD house. It had a huge living room and a huge kitchen, and a washer/dryer and decent sized bedrooms. It was very bus accessible and I could walk to work and the grocery store. It was a ten minute bus ride to Pike Place market. :) The only disadvantage was the lack of dishwasher.
The place in Bellevue was nice, too, but it wasn't nearly as bus accessible, being in Bellevue. So it depends on whether I'm evaluating favorites based on the house itself or everything else.
I really, really like our current place, which I'll get to in question 5.
3. If you could live anywhere for the rest of your life, where would it be?
Ideally, we'll split our time between here and Seattle. Here, we want a house off the grid on some land with a huge garden and animals (we're still debating precisely which animals.) There, in an ideal world, I'd have a condo on the waterfront, which means I need to figure out how to win the lottery.
4. What would your ideal home have in it?
Off the grid. Lots and lots of light. Lots of storage. Private space for us, plenty of space for guests. Lots of land. Lots of outdoor living areas.
5. Can you describe your current crib?
Does anyone actually use the word crib anymore?
We're living in a white 3 bedroom 1 bath house about a mile south of school. The three bedrooms are lined up on one side of the house, and the living room and kitchen are on the other, with the bathroom at the end of the house in between. The front room is the office, the middle the guest room/crafts room/library, and the back room our bedroom. There's a lot of light and a lot of windows, which is very nice. We have a good sized kitchen and a big living room. We have washer connections and a clothes lines. We have a front porch and a decent sized yard. It's a quiet neighborhood, and we've got good highway access and it's easy driving distance to a lot of things. The bus access is killer. We rather like it. :)
