I am marching along
towards graduation. I have a nice long uninterupted chunk of time on my schedule tomorrow, so I'm going to come home, chunk some West Wing in the dvd player, and wail on my independent study paper. (West Wing is one of my default "I want background noise and I don't feel like music" things to watch; I've seen some of the episodes from Season 1 and 2 at this point that I don't need to pay that much attention to them, and they're so dialouge heavy in places that they also make something good to "watch" if I'm knitting or cleaning. I tried this with BSG once, but it's far, far too visually oriented.) I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it's nice.
However, tonight I was off from schoolwork, because we went out to dinner with Jillie and a gaggle of other people. Dinner was tasty and the company was great. Now we're home, with full stomaches and listening to the thunderstorm, and life is good.
