One of the little things I like about spring - and very nearly the only time that I don't mind being cold - is when you have all the windows open at night, and it's still getting pretty chilly at night, and you wake up and it's cold outside the bed, but it's plenty warm and cuddly under the covers, and the chilly outside air just goes to emphasize that. :) Bonus points if you have a cat who plops down on your chest and demands pets. Double bonus points if you have time to get up and make yourself a cup of tea and sit around in a blanket and sweatshirt and pajamas for a bit and enjoy the morning.
I concure. This was one of those morning when you want to stay under the blankets, cuddle up with something furry (be it 2 or 4 legged), and just enjoy the cool fresh air, the sunshine peeking through the trees, and the birds chirping. Until your alarm clock goes off, shattering the still morning air, and reminds you that duty calls. *grumbles*
I had the hardest time getting out of bed this morning, for exactly that reason. I had rolled over in the middle of the night and wound myself in a down comforter, and I really didn't want to come out of my cocoon.
A handy hint: if you need help getting up, having a dog who doesn't sleep in the bed with you but always greets morning with enthusiasm come head-butt you can provide just the motivation you need.
