Ways I know I'm getting into better shape, #8234345: around the indoor track at the gym, I used to do consistent 3 minute laps walking. Now I hit somewhere between 2.5 and 2.75 minutes, and have to consciously make an effort to slow down and take it easy when I need to. I've dropped my 2.5 mile time from 51 minutes to 46 minutes. :)
