Now I understand why chocolate dipped pretzels get made once a year - they're a messy pain, and slow. They're sooooo good, though.
The pretzels are dipped and cooling. Now I need to either get the stuffing or the pie into the oven, then do the spinach-artichoke dip, then either the stuffing or the pie. Though, now that I think about it, I think I'll schlep the stuffing ingredients to my mom's house tomorrow morning and make it while they're at church. It won't take long, and it'll be better fresh. So I'll do the pie and the dip now, and then I should pull out the chicken and sausage to thaw for dinner. Dinner will Jillie's jambalasta (modified for our allergies and taste buds) with a bottle of Duplin wine. Jeff and I have more presents to open (he had me open my big one, a seventeen inch LCD, last night. I swooned. It's sooooo pretty. :) A monitor was the only thing we were lacking to be able to build me a gaming box out of spare parts, and the LCD on the laptop has been a little flaky lately too. So.) and some wine to drink and video games to play and West Wing to watch. Not a bad Christmas eve, in all.
