Gah. I've seen that one. It grits me (a sensation rather like having sand in places one would rather not). Another one I hate is Roast Beef au jus with juice. I know I took French as a child and so know what 'au jus' means where others may not, but perhaps that makes it worse as it reminds me of how ignorant most American citizens are about other languages, cultures, customs, etc.

Even worse--when menus describe the dish as, "Roast beef with au jus." AARRGGH.

I've seen it too, and I can forgive it in casual speech, even if it's still buggy, but in a sociology textbook, for pete's sake? :)
