Dear Payroll Gods:

I turned in direct deposit forms not once, but twice. Please, for the love of Bob, let there be money in my account tomorrow today so that I don't have to go chasing all over bloody campus to find my check. Please. :)

You forgot the mandatory month and a half it takes them to turn what you've entered into a form into ... well whatever they turn it into. You'd think since there were computers talking between your bank and the credit union to handle all of this, it wouldn't be that big a deal. As I found out from the credit union, they only really do changes to your accoun... input and output? ... at the beginning of every month. Isn't that bizarre?

It becomes even more bizarre when you have X amount auto-taken from your paycheck to pay off, say, a car, and then after the car is paid off they continue to take X amount out for a month or two. If this ever does happen to you, btw, they'll dump X amount into your savings account after they look into all of the failed transactions for the day and take care of them.

Anyway, yeah, I feel your pain. =)

You don't sound bitter at all, of course not.

It seems to have worked. There is money there now. :) There just wasn't last night at 12, and I wasn't looking forward to playing "find the check"...

=) I find money usually shows up at something like 12:45 or 1. (usually) At least it's always there in the morning. =D
