food, cooking
i'm normally a Morningstar Farms or Boca girl for my non-meat sausage needs, but i'd been advised that the Gimme Lean stuff was good and i should try it. and it was 3.50 for a 14 ounce tube, instead of the same 3.50 for like, 8 ounces that i normally pay, so i thought i'd try it.

it'd got the texture down just fine, and it fried up well, but... something's off. maybe the spices. it's not bad, just not great. i'm guessing it might be better in things, so some of it's probably going into some tomato sauce in the next couple days.

house is pretty well clean, and i'm doing laundry. i need a shower. and i still have no idea when my folks are showing up.

We tried that sausage once. I thought that the flavor and texture was the best of any other brand. The problem was the texture when before it was cooked, its just too sticky. First I couldn't get it out of the package, then I couldn't get it off of my hands. In addition it seems to be both water and soap insoluble, meaning I was still washing my hands fifteen minutes later. Good but not worth the trouble.
