i had enough snow in Utah to last me the rest of my freaking life. and my cute little self is currently tucked up in Durham, which is not where i'd rather spend my weekend. not that i don't love the folks in Durham that i'm with, but i'd kind of figured on being home this weekend.

so, yea. the snow can stop, now, please and thank you.

anyone been out and know what the roads are like?

I'm getting ready to head home, so I'll try to remember to log on once I get there and let you know :)

I find myself missing Utah winters. The snow was a PITA, yeah, but it was never as cold as it is here!

I don't mind the snow as much as how badly people drive in it around here.

Some SUV owners think they can float on water with perfect traction while travelling at the speed of light.

The roads were a bit slushy when I came in around 9AM. I'm probably going to go home soon since I don't want to be around when it starts freezing this evening.

The roads down here aren't too good. Most people aren't driving more than 20mph. I can watch them slip, but they probably can't feel it.

I walked to work today and was glad I did. I sure wouldn't want to be out driving, walking was bad enough. My recomendation: stay where you are.

heh. i didn't get that until after we'd left. :) oh well. thanks, tho.

things seem to be fine now... they're a little slushy by the house, but we had no problems.

Twas actually a really easy drive assuming you drive with reason. =) Granted, this is based off driving at 9am, but the roads were just somewhat slushy (backroads were bordering on nasty, but main roads were easy). Assuming you don't do anything stupid, they were fine. Granted, I might be biased, I was pretty excited to be ABLE to drive on snow... the Mustang didn't exactly have what one would call traction on ... well anything that wasn't asphalt. The Maxima sticks to it all like glue though. And there didn't appear to be any ice anywhere, just happy snow. Still, I wouldn't suggest going out in it unless you have good reason to. Considering it's been coming down relentlessly all day, I'm not so sure it'll still be easy to drive in when I go home. Might leave early.

Well, my drive home on the main roads was okay. Only hit a slick patch once or twice. Back roads might not be as nice though *shrug*
